On Sunday, October 6th, the 2013 River Cup will be played at PPL Park and this is your opportunity to try out for the SoB FC team. Last years tryouts were VERY competitive and this year will prove to be no different. We've changed things up slightly, added a few twists and surprises, and made it an even better lead up to the big game.
Tryout Details
Here are the details for the 2013 SoB FC tryouts...
- All tryouts will be held at YSC Sports in Wayne, PA
- SoB FC will be fielding a team of twenty-two (22) players.
- ALL players will be graded by an independent, impartial panel of qualified talent evaluators.
- ALL players will be selected based on the grading and recommendations of the talent evaluators.
- Trialists selected to the 2013 SoB FC team will be required to attend all practices as they are scheduled and participate in the YSC Tuesday Night Fall League.
- All trialists will receive a SoB FC Trialist T-shirt
- Trialists selected to the 2013 SoB FC team the official 2013 SoB FC Kit, a free pass to the 2013 River Cup game in October for a family member/friend, and passes to the after party (TBD)
- Trialists that are not selected will receive a free pass to the 2013 River Cup game in October.
Player Eligibility
In order to be an eligible player, you must:
- be a current member of Sons of Ben as of the date of this email.
- pay the $30 Tryout Registration Fee Online (No walkups will be accepted)
- be over 18 years old or over as of the date of this email.
- attend a minimum of two (2) of the four (4) scheduled tryout dates.
- be able to commit to the practice, league, and event schedule.
- be able to play in the 2013 River Cup game in October.
- sign the liability waiver for Sons of Ben, Philadelphia Union, and YSC Sports.
- * sign a statement that you are aware of and agree to these terms.
Tryout Dates
ALL tryouts will be at YSC Sports in Wayne, PA. The dates for the tryouts are:
- Saturday, July 13th: 5pm - 9pm
- Thursday, July 18th: 7pm - 10pm
- Wednesday, August 14th: 7pm - 10pm
- Wednesday, August 21st: 7pm -10pm

Please note, the Sons of Ben take this game VERY seriously. While we all want to play and have fun, this is a competition and we are playing to win. Therefore, we encourage those with true soccer skills and a competitive nature to try out.
